2. Identify openings in your home.

Identifying the points of entry is essential to keeping the bats out once they’ve been evicted. Bats often find ways in that you may not expect. We’ll show you exactly how to check areas on your roof, vents, and various exhaust systems, what to look for, and how to determine which are the main points of entry.

3. Make a plan for installation.

Once all main and secondary points of entry have been identified, we’ll show you how to determine the number of Bat Slides you’ll need, then help you prepare the materials for installing them and sealing the secondary points. Taking a few minutes to plan ahead will help the bat eviction process go as smoothly as possible.

4. SEAL ALL SECONDARY OPENINGS

Permanently sealing secondary points of entry is an essential step in making sure you rid your home of bats for good. There are different methods and materials for different types of entry points, and we’ll make sure you know the particulars of
each one.

5. Install Bat Slide.

Our patented Bat Slide is made in the USA and was developed after more than two decades of helping homeowners successfully and humanely remove bats from their homes. We’ve studied the natural behavior of bats and developed this one-way design to ensure that once they exit through the Bat Slide, they’ll no longer be able to return. The bats are not harmed or put in danger; they’re just forced to find a new home.

6. WAIT FOR BATS TO LEAVE

It’s important to make sure all bats have left your home before moving forward with the eviction process. Waiting an adequate amount of time ensures hibernating bats aren’t trapped inside, because nobody wants that - especially the bats. We’ll show you how to definitively know they’re gone.

7. REMOVE BAT SLIDE AND CLEAN UP GUANO

With the Bat Slide out of the way and the area sealed, you can proceed to cleaning up the bat guano - because unfortunately, bats don’t clean up after themselves. All kidding aside, bat guano can be harmful if the spores are breathed in, so it’s very important to have the proper protective equipment. We’ll let you know everything you need to thoroughly and safely finish the job.

8. Celebrate and spread the love (not just bats).

Congrats, you’re officially bat free! While those winged critters leaving your house is great news, they tend to head directly to neighbors. We make it easy to break the news with a BatPak discount card you can share.
